There is always another choice

You don't have to buy from anyone.
You don't have to work at any particular job.
You don't have to participate in any given relationship.
You can choose.

You alone steer the course you choose in the direction of where you want to be today, tomorrow, or in any distant time to come.

You hold the tiller.
You can decide to alter the course of your life at any time.
No one can ever take that away from you.
You can decide what you want and go after it.
It's always your next move.

It's so true, and yet so simple to forget. It's hard to accept responsibility sometimes...always easier to chalk it up to what happened "to" me rather than what happened as a result of my choices.

Long story short: sometimes consequences suck.

Yes, I agree with that 100% and then some! AMEN SISTA! We all make our own choices.. A long time ago, I came up with this theory about how life is like a kaliedescope and with every twist of the scope, you change the pattern... so if you dont like the pattern you see in your life... twist that scope baby!! Make a new one!! :-)

And sometimes the kaliedescope of life is just fucky and needs a good yank in a different direction.

Love you both so much and Stace, I really do miss you.

(Not that I don't miss Mags, but I see her every week...)

Dearest Nashville Singer,

I love the kaleidescope theory! Thank you so much for sharing that with us...it's a beautiful way to approach life.

Thanks Margot...
I wish more people would jump on that theory in their lives because it amazes me how some people can make the same mistakes/wrong chooices over and over and never once think to themselves "hmmm, maybe its me and the way I do things that are causing me this drama and crap in my life"
No, they would rather keep doing things their way thinking "one of these days, my way will work out"... i think its just more comforting for them to stay the same then take the risk of change. I'll admit I was much that way until I was about 27 yrs old.. then it dawned on me that it was MY OWN fault that my life was crap! Its a hard pill to swallow to realize you are being stupid and need to start changing things about yourself. But anyway... im done now.. off my little soap box i go...

I love Stacy and I've never even met her. Just thought everyone should know.

Thursday Night from Margot's Perspective

I sat in the music end of the bar. Kim was shooting pool with Colleen and other fun people. So there is a high degree of likelihood that our Thursday Night updates will be vastly different from one another. So without further ado, I give you...

Thursday Night at the Pub, Margot-style

Got there late. Had to stop at the Tap to seen Angel and my favorite bartender first. So glad I did!

It was great to see Vikki. She's just a neat lady. She makes me smile.

Colleen sings some of my favorite music. I wonder if she knows that I love her.

Steve and Julie. What can you say about Steve and Julie? If I were you, I'd ask Kevin. Except he probably won't remember because I think he's still drunk. 12 shots will do that to a guy.

I want a ham and cheese omelette!

Holy Fuck, STOP!!!

I like that Dale buys me shots so it's easier to put up with Kevin.

I like when Kelly sings Carrie Underwood.

I like the way Kim smiles when she's singing.

I like when Kevin and Steve share a passionate kiss after a song.

I like the way we all dance to Crazy Bitch.

I like when some songs are over.

I like coming home at the end of the night and snuggling with Kelly. I like that both she and I slept through the night.
