Family Camp

While I was sitting on the floor of my new apartment I realized what it reminds me of.

Family camp at Owassippe Boy Scout Camp.
It reminds me so much of it, I think it smells the same.

I love it. I promise to have pictures soon.

It's empty, I can't wait to make it mine.

The "to be determined" Lodge

As of 12:01AM on Saturday morning, I will be living in my own very apartment.

It has it's own kitchen.
It has it's own bathroom.
It has it's own bedrooms.
It has stairs.

It's pretty and mine!
I have keys!

I also want to take this opportunity to thank my Rathunde family & friends for supporting and providing me with a place to sleep and shower and do laundry for the past four months.

I find it overwhelming that you were willing to provide me hearth and home for so long and for that I will be forever grateful.

Stamps

This 20-something girl in the post office was trying to get the sticker back off of her stamp and had been struggling for about five minutes.

I walked out and she said to me, "Can you help me peel the back off of this stamp?"

I took the stamp and glanced at the back of it in the glare of the lights and said to her, "You have to lick this one."

She said, "Lick a stamp?"

It just made me realize that there is a whole generation of people that have never licked a stamp. Then I giggled all the way out to the car.

"Lick a stamp?"

Friendship

Friendship shouldn't be hard to do, ever.
