Hey... I think my GMC misses your naked ass prints! LOL Its been crying for a few days now. But the whole BBBB hasnt been the same since u left. Come back... come back!!
Antique Jim was the first friend I made in Tennessee many months ago. He's the first person I stopped to see when I arrived in TN over the weekend. He was just as happy to see me as I was to see him. As I left town, I stopped by to see him and say goodbye and snap that picture and he said, "Has anyone ever told you that you are sexy? I mean, my God woman, the hair, you've lost weight, you are incredible. When are you coming back?"
There is nothing like a friend to inspire magic.
Kiersten is a new friend. She's Barry's friend. Barry is a friend from the Meetup group. I first met Barry at the Halloween meetup at the Sand Bar in 2006, I came as the tattooed lady. I still can't believe that the Sand Bar is closed. :(
Andrea is another friend from the meetup group. She is a breath of sunshine. She is from WI, also, only like me belongs south of the Mason/Dixon line. :)
Stacy (and Chris) own the Basement Bar which is just simply their home. She is my friend. She's sarcastic, bossy, full of opinions, and loves me. It's totally reciprocated. They were gracious enough to allow me and Caetie to spend the night our last night in TN. It was wonderful. I can't wait to go back to the BBBB. It's sweet that the Gay Monkey Chair misses me, Stacy and I'll be back sooner than you think. ;)
The Barry. What can I say about Barry. He's one of the first people I met through this crazy mixed up group of people. He's funny, he makes me happy to hang with him, and he is a good friend. Oh, and he wears and hangs out with people who wear kilts. I like him. He's my kind of people.
Danny. My waiter at the Loveless. There wasn't a waiter that worked harder to ensure that I had the best possible time in his town. He was incredible. I'm going back there just to see him. Well, and for the biscuits...and okra...and collard greens...and t-cakes...and...lol
The Dragon. What can I say? We pulled up in front of the park and all I see is this small playground and I'm thinking, are we going on the swings? It never crossed my mind that it was called "Dragon" Park because of a DRAGON! When I caught sight of him, I swear I wanted to run. I turned into a 10 year old. He's magnificent. I think of all of my memories, he's the best because it was pure unbridled joy. It was an unexpected adventure in the middle of deep deep history and pride and I am much appreciative of my tour guide. He is amazing.
Amanda of the very cool hair is the best bartender the BB never hired. She makes a rockin' bomb. She sings like nobody's bizness, too! And she's cute and has good cleavage. LOL
You gotta try the doors of the Ryman. You just gotta.
Chris. The man is an enigma. He is a lovely human being I am glad to call my friend. He loves his wife, Stacy, owner of the Gay Monkey Chair. He "walks" the dogs one at a time. He takes care of the medical needs of the dogs. He laughs and is silly and sarcastic. He cracks me up AND he does the laundry, which just makes me all warm and fuzzy. He sings, "My Kind of Rain" for me anytime I ask. He's the man. He IS all that and a bag of chips.
I'll blog about the trip in a few. I'm tired and I have to work in the morning.
I also don't quite know how to blog about such an adventure. I'm giving it careful thought and consideration. It's a piece of my soul.
I think mr. booker has a little crush on my kimmy! ***wink wink*** Well sir... you cant have her until I say its ok! (thats me, the bossy, opinionated one who owns the BB haha)
I forgot the most important detail about my new friend Kiersten. She wants waffles.
She doesn't care what time it is. She wants waffles. Oh, and she misses me. :)
She was also just as happy to meet me as I was to meet her. It's nice to know our mutual friends talk about us when we aren't there in positive ways, huh?
