I had the busiest weekend ever.
I wasn't going to show up at FNK, but I couldn't help myself. Glad I did, I would have missed out on skinny dipping and giggling in the pool.
On Saturday I went to my sister's wedding luau. It was great fun. It was a hot day, but a relaxing one. There was happiness and joy. There was a beautiful ceremony under the big tree.
My favorite moment was when the wedding official was saying the vows for Jim and he glanced at Jen when she was looking down trying to keep herself composed.
The look in his eyes, it's the look that poems are made from and songs are sung about.
They had a pig roast and it was awesome to see the pig brought up and then dressed. It doesn't look all that pretty without the dressing...bleh.
He was yummy, though. Caetie refused to look at it and did not try any, after all she IS a pigitarian.
J had great fun running around and playing in the tire swings. They had a giant tent set up in case of rain and the round tables inside. Caetie and Mike "loitered" in a variety of different places. The three of them finally got to hang out with Aunt Sheri. Apparently I am a horrible sister and mom for not making sure they knew who Aunt Sheri was. That won't happen again because now they know who she is and that she lives near Turkey Run. There is a bonus to going camping now, spending time with Aunt Sher!
Jen and Jim's cake was a round stack of white boxes with boy and girl coconut monkey figures on the top. The boxes were filled with the most amazing brownies EVER. It was the most original wedding cake I had ever seen and perfect for a HOT day in August. I can't imagine an actual cake would have made it with the humidity.
Jim started the mother of all bonfires in the evening when it got dark.
The open bar served wonderful Mai Tais. They were so good. There were coolers filled with water and soda and all assortment of drink. Kegs of beer ran freely, they had so many that John was able to take them with him to Ozzfest on Sunday!
Speaking of Ozzfest on Sunday...oh, and I had an all day appointment at Children's today for J. So tired.
I'm too tired. I will type more later.
Oh, and I have wedding pictures, too! I will make sure to post them up so you can see how much fun we had at the wedding. I also have more small town WI pictures for Stacy. I got a really good one of the movie theatre and Kilwin's at dawn. You'll love them.
TTFN!

I've been waiting to hear about the wedding, thank you for the update! You looked adorable in your luautfit, and my Caetie looked completely Hepburnesque. Did anyone ask about her manicure?
Hey, I don't know who Aunt Sheri is. You are a horrible friend for not making sure I know Aunt Sheri. ;) Unless, of course, introducing me would be a luxury?
Waiting to hear more about Ozzfest...Love you!
