The day off...

So, I have this freakishly unwell friend, Scott, he's having Kimmy blog withdrawals, so I thought I'd help him out. It's what friends do.

I have the busiest schedule known to man these next eight days!
I have the day off today, but it's being spent being lazy and going to a doctor appointment. I'm also going to try to squeeze in a pedicure. I know that Scott was dying to know that and I'll have to post pictures later to prove that I actually did it. I know, I know...

Then tomorrow I open, which is great because it gives me all evening to get stuff prepared for EASTER! I close on Friday and Saturday. Sunday is Easter and I'm going to my friend Bernie's house. She is having an egg hunt in her backyard and of course, cake. The only reason that Caetie wants to go.

Then off to my sister Jen's house for the family extravaganza that is our holidays. Then on to Monday opening, Tuesday and Wednesday I close and Thursday I work a mid-shift only to come home and finish last minute packing, take a nap, and DRIVE TO TENNESSEE!

See, when I type it out, it's not that long. How come it won't move faster?

J got his pump! It's rockin' awesome. For those of you not in the "know". My youngest son J is a diabetic. He was diagnosed one year ago and he just got an insulin pump. If you do not know what an insulin pump is check out this website http://www.medtronic.com/

It is the coolest invention since sliced bread as far as I'm concerned. He is staying in pretty good control and we can't leave any supplies behind so Grandpa won't need to drive him back home to get his insulin and supplies so he can eat on Easter.

I am amazed at how easy and fast it works to control his blood sugars and for me that was my biggest worry. I want him to have good health in his 20's, 30's, 40's and beyond and how do you convince a 12 year old that what he does now affects that?

My hand tattoo is finally totally healed. Thankfully, because it itched something fierce last week! I LOVE it. I get so many compliments on it.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new job. It is good. I am good at it. I love all of it. We'll see what kind of job they think I'm doing in May. Could be a whole quarter raise! I am sure that I will get it!

So, other than being extremely busy, nothing much has been going on. I am hoping that I haven't bored you all to tears yet with my boring life ramblings. I mean seriously, it's hard to stay cool.

Keep it crisp today!
Smoochie Boochies!

Weird??? I prefer to called "Unwell" or "Freakish" thank you very much! :)

But thanks for posting a blog...my heart rate has slowed down...the sweats have stopped...and well...other parts of me are excited!

So looking forward to the pedicure pics. Just make sure we get one of you smiling about it as well! :)

The Easter egg hunt sounds like fun!! Havent done one of those in years!!! I do have a silly putty egg on my desk...that I found recently...does that count?

CAKE! I want some cake!!! Caetie knows her stuff when it comes to cake!

So...I know you are looking forward to this vacation and all to..where was it? OH YEA...TN!! But have you thought about us at all? Are you going to be able to get online or email us during that time. I dont think I will be able to handle it...and it will be back to the mental ward for me.

Those pumps arent cheap...hope the insurance covered it...or you got some help there. (I work for one of those crappy Insurance companies) But that is great news that he got one!!!

Have we seen the hand tattoo yet? I want to!!! :)

I am glad you love your new job!! I hate mine...but someday...I will have that dream job! "Kimmy's asst."

I am famous as well! I had toilet paper named after me!! :)

Hugs and Love Babycakes!

Scott, to be honest, I don't know that you will see me a whole lot BEFORE I go to TN.

Seriously, I had today off and technically I have Sunday off for Easter, but it's a day of running around, so it's not really a day off.

So, maybe Barb or The Kimmy can help out while I'm gone.

OH! I know, go back to the beginning of my blog and read one or two every day, then it will be like I never left...

That will work! LOL

Oh, and I just got my schedule for the week after I get back from Tennessee...

This is going to be a horrible three weeks.

I work from Monday to Thursday, then I am in TN Friday through Monday, then I work Tuesday through that following Saturday...

Should be interesting. We'll see if TN is enough of a lure for me to survive it.

Ha, good one Kimmy!

Of course that weekend will be totally worth every moment spent on the floors of Target before, during, and after...

I have a little brother who's type 1 diabetic...
He was diagnosed at 3... He's 7 now. He's also on the pump... it's one of the greatest things in the world. It does relieve a lot of stress... (not all of it... but a lot of it)...
